Please don't shut down PredictIt; it benefits society very much. Not only does it encourage people to stay aware of current events and participate in civic duties like voting, it also provides an accessible way for people to learn about how markets work in general, where they can see the flow of supply and demand and learn strategies for investing that they can apply in other markets.
In addition to its value to users, PredictIt has accurately predicted numerous events, including the recent pick for Democratic vice presidential candidate. Analysts of current events rely on the "wisdom of the crowd" and judge public sentiment by it. This is inherently beneficial to democracy, as everyone can see what the People are thinking.
There is no rational reason to shut down this well-established, reputable prediction market. Please reconsider and allow it to remain open.
