I do not support this rulemaking proposal. My research in predictive analytics prompts me to express concern over the possibility of restricting election prediction markets. These markets hold promise as instruments for enhancing our predictive models. A more extended public commentary opportunity could facilitate a more granulated examination of their potential to contribute significantly. Fostering dialogue with data scientists and others who contribute to these markets may uncover ways in which prediction market data could fortify the sophistication of predictive algorithms. Regulatory decisions could then be better informed by the possibilities and the intricacies of incorporating such markets.
