I strongly oppose the proposed ban on event prediction contracts concerning congressional control. The characterization of these contracts as speculative or as a form of gaming overlooks their substantive role in supporting public health advocacy efforts and promoting equitable healthcare policies. By facilitating informed decision-making, these contracts contribute to a more responsive and resilient healthcare system. As such, the Commission needs to prioritize public health interests and support the approval of these contracts, ensuring that regulatory frameworks align with democratic principles and protect vulnerable populations.
