I specifically disapprove of the proposed rules which would prevent operation of the site Predictit.org as it has been for purposes of research. This site’s activities and contracts are not “gaming” as the commission is seeking to define! This is not random or akin to sports betting. There are very specific and severe limitations on financial investments to prevent abuse.
The data created by these political futures markets is valuable research and more accurate than other sources like polling that I have seen. Please direct your efforts or regulation elsewhere and on sites doing actual harm and not on this research.
