Dear CFTC, I am a private individual. I find it hard to believe, and hard to take, that our deeply indebted Government is abusing your limited time and resources to take down Predictit. They've been around for about 10 years now, and have performed exactly as planned. They have a wonderful reputation for competence, integrity, and as hoped, have been more accurate than any other poll. This is because 1. they are totally unbiased, unlike most polls 2. People who use their service invest in what they "think will happen", not what they "want to happen"., so they're more honest than when taking polls. Furthermore, rich people can't ruin the predictive results, because there are caps at rather modest amounts. I personally have just used this site once, and invested in what I thought would happen, hoping I was wrong. I was sadly correct. This is the genius behind this concept. If it is for the greater good to outlaw Predictit, then all political polls must logically be banned, most of which are biased and therefore less than honest. In the political chaos of this past month, I've seen Predictit sited as the most accurate and trusted source of public sentiment on CNBC, and many other channels. Really folks, don't you already have your hands full, trying to keep huge Wall Street markets and trades honest (which I want you to do) without brutally trying to silence something as interesting, small, useful, honest, and trusted as Predictit has proven to be. Sincerely, Bill Appuhn
