Please reconsider banning event contract markets for politics.

It makes no sense why political prediction markets would be banned but betting on sports and other types of events would not be. If possible corruption by players of a game or staff on a team could lead to an otherwise illegitimate result, in order to preserve the logic behind banning political event contract markets, all forms of gambling would also need to be outlawed. No one takes such a consideration seriously so why would anyone imagine such logic should or could apply specifically to political event contract markets?

In reality, political event prediction markets offer forms of transparency that corrupted government agencies will not. They add value to our society which is presently more focused on feel good beliefs and voluntary delusions than the cold hard facts necessary for successfully navigating our world.

Not only should political event prediction markets be legal, it should be illegal to remove them because they are inherently a blessing to the general welfare of the United States and the world.
