    CFTC,

You are wrong to propose this rule one event contracts. You have not engaged with those who would be affected and those who may benefit from the markets you have restricted exchanges like Kalshi from listing. You have also not done the work to understand these markets so I hope that you truly take the time to read the comments people have been thoughtful about.

As a dairy farmer in Wisconsin, political decisions on trade policies, environmental regulations, and subsidies directly influence our operations. Kalshi's election prediction markets could provide valuable foresight, helping us navigate these changes. The CFTC’s opposition to these markets disregards the practical needs of farmers. Accurate predictions about election outcomes would allow us to better manage our production cycles and financial planning. They would also allow me to directly hedge the risks associated with what happens in elections. For example, changes in dairy import-export policies have a direct impact on our milk prices. Understanding the potential for policy shifts enables us to adapt our business strategies to maintain profitability.

Please consider more time for comments. A significant proposal like this one needs more than 60 days for concerned citizens to weigh in.

    Thank you,

    Zachary
