PredictIt is not a gaming website. It's a window into the compounded true public opinion about certain political events. It's a better measure of public opinion than any poll. The reason is simple - people sometimes don't want to express their views to pollsters for various reasons whereas they will express it on PredictIt, in complete privacy, with a small amount of money.

A classic example is the current political situation. Senior Republican figures are afraid of expressing their true views publicly about Donald Trump for fear of repercussions from the ex-President who is very vocal in condemning anyone opposing him. But the same person will be free to spend a few dollars on PredictIt on a candidate he/she likes.

CFTC needs to think out of the box and not consider PredictIt as a gaming site.
