There seems to be no harm in what Predict-It is doing. I'm missing the reason(s) to ban this type of thing. From a data perspective, it's interesting to see how the participants attitudes change over time. There may be value in this. I can see a psychological study at the university level.
If you are concerned about some sort of "gambling" issue, maybe you would limit the deposit to $1,000 or something. Then people aren't really there to make money but instead to play a game of prediction and get paid a little on the outcome.
Thanks for considering leaving them alone.
