As a hobbyist philosopher, I am strongly in favor of contract markets in general, and this in particular, as it will provide vitally important information about the predictive power of the market in the political arena. It is my hope that prediction markets will allow policymakers access to more accurate forecasting tools, leading to better policy outcomes in the long run.
