I strongly oppose allowing an investing instrument which basically amounts to gambling on the outcome of our elections. I do not believe this should be considered a legitimate or safe product in any sense. However, in the context of Citizen's United and other decisions allowing for practically unfettered "dark money" spending to influence our elections, I believe this could be disastrous for our democracy. Wealthy investors would be free to spend as much as they like to influence the outcome of Congressional elections, then make even more money off of said outcome. This must not be permitted.
