It is preposterous to consider allowing gambling on elections. Imaginable and unimaginable interests pouring money into buying elections so “winning” bets could be placed is nearly equivalent to buying elections. This is not how a democracy works. As it is the Hobby Lobby Supreme Court case allows so much corporate money to be poured into our elections already that there would remain no semblance of fair elections going forward if gambling were permitted.
