I am writing to express my opposition to election gambling. Allowing election gambling would be dangerous because it will undermine the integrity of our elections and our democracy. Allowing betting on election outcomes will create strong financial incentives for special interests to manipulate and interfere with out elections. This would also reduce voter confidence, and lead to a perception that election outcomes are not solely determined by voters choices, but also those who bet on election results. This would also undermine the principle of one person, one vote, which is the bedrock of our democracy. Thank you for your consideration.
