A friend has let me know that there could be a push to allow sports-type betting on election outcomes and in particular on the outcome of the 2024 presidential election. This is an absolutely crazy idea. The presidential election is already covered by media far too much as a kind of horse race. Having betting on this race would be that problem on steroids. Our elections need more dignity, not less!!!
