Sanctioned gambling directly on elections will completely undermine our democracy. It will lead to actions governed by personal greed instead of public welfare. This will open our republic to untold illegal graft on a massive scale. I can't believe it could ever be considered as a possibility. The wealthy will have an even more overwhelming advantage in governing every aspect of our lives in this country and beyond. Do not allow such an undemocratic condition to occur.
