The proposal to all betting on elections is the most outrageous thing I have ever heard. Elections are the citizenry's method of participating in government. They shoudl nto be made into a commodity and certainly not be put in a position of manipulation by Wall Street or any other gambling entity.
We must do everything within our power to ensure the intrigrity of our elections. This proposal would do just the opposite it would belittle the power of the vote.
I urge this body to turn down any proposal to allow gambling on elections.
