Permitting betting on election outcomes will create strong financial incentives for special interests to manipulate and interfere in our elections. In turn, this will undermine the integrity of our elections and ultimately our democracy. Our democracy is already under stress from anti-democratic forces. We don't need more anti-democratic stress.
