I am very concerned about the possibility of allowing betting on elections. The integrity of and public confidence in elections is already waning. Everyone has heard about "fixing" races or games to favor bettors. There is already too much dark money behind politics. Allowing betting on elections will just increase the chances that those with deep pockets can have an even greater say in our elections, which are supposed to be for 1 person, 1 vote. Please stop this idea before it goes any further! I have been an active voter for 54 years. I care deeply about our democracy and am concerned about its future. I see this measure as further weakening it.
