I strongly urge you to reject the proposal to allow gambling on the outcomes of elections. Doing so could severely undermine our elections. If money could be made on electoral outcomes, gamblers would be incentivized to fund campaigns for commercial gain. They also would be incentivized to bribe election officials and hack voting machines.
Free and fair elections are the foundation of our democracy. Providing direct financial incentives for corrupting them is unthinkable.
I urge you to definitively and immediately to reject the proposal to allow gambling on the outcome of elections.
