Gambling destroys lives. There is much evidence to prove this.
Gambling on elections will pollute our democracy. How? The bookies, as they publish their odds, will make some people switch their votes hoping they will be on the "winning" side. But, the bookies are not adjusting their odds on actual votes but on dollar amounts wagered. Our concept of democracy is one person one vote. NOT one dollar one vote.
Please do not permit gambling on our democracy. It corrupts our political system.
