Please do not allow betting on election results! It is bad enough that the media treat our elections like a horse race, with only a superficial treatment of the issues or candidates. That is no reason to treat our democracy like an actual horse race! Betting will only further foster a "win at all costs" mindset in the political parties in order to rake in some cash. It will exacerbate disinformation, election fraud, and intimidation of election workers. My vote should NOT be treated like a commodity to generate profits.
