My mind is blown that CFTC is even considering this blatantly corrupt idea. How dare you think it's ok to gamble with our democracy?! Betting on election outcomes will create strong financial incentives for special interests to manipulate and interfere in our elections. It also flies in the face of one person one vote if ridiculously rich people get to tilt the scales indirectly this way.
This ill conceived idea needs to get trashed, not passed.
Do the RIGHT thing. There are vastly more important things in this world than money, and democracy is one of them.
