Opening up the opportunity to gamble on which parties will win elections dangers of election gambling is extremely dangerous, and goes against the public interest. Our elections are NOT horse races, and gambling on who will will will only open the door to disinformation and big money doing their best to influence on our democracy - since even more money and profits would ride on it.

This is a very bad idea - and I can assure you that American citizens DO NOT want this. Gambling on the outcome of elections should and must be illegal. Here are all the reasons that I do NOT support election gambling and ask that this plan be quickly and expeditiously rejected and taken OFF the table:

Allowing this proposal will undermine the integrity of our elections and our democracy.
Allowing betting on election outcomes will create strong financial incentives for special interests to manipulate and interfere in our elections.
Allowing this proposal will reduce voter confidence, and lead to a perception that election outcomes are not solely determined by voters’ choices, but also by those who bet on election results.
Allowing this proposal puts personal gain ahead of the public interest.
Allowing this proposal undermines the principle of one person, one vote – the bedrock of our democracy.
