Only someone who wants to _shred_ American voting laws would want to make gambling on the outcome of votes for public office.
Permitting betting on election results:
* Undermines the integrity of our elections and democracy.
* Create financial incentives for special interests to manipulate, and interfere, with elections.
* Reduces voter confidence.
* Suggests that elections are determined by those who bet on results, not on voter choices.
* Places personal gain ahead of the public interest.
* Undermines "one person, one vote," which is the most important democratic principle.
The idea of legalizing election results betting totally stinks.
