The health of the Republic and the integrity of our democracy will be irreparably harmed by the introduction of gambling on our election outcomes. Dark money already pervades and taints the process. Allowing gambling on elections will assuredly create a cataclysmic shift in candidate's perspective AWAY from constituent representation and/or the fiduciary understanding of the office to donor allegiance and odds maker. The only sure bet is that we will be going down a rabbit hole that we may NEVER recover from. I urge you NOT to support or approve public gambling on politics.
