To whom it may concern,
It has come to my attention that under your consideration a proposal will allow for wagering and betting on the outcomes of elections. Elections are important for the conduct of civic business in this country and should not allow attempts to influence or misdirect attention to issues to be raised and resolved in an election.
To allow wagering and betting would divert attention from matters at issue in an election and should not be pemitted in any way. There is enough pressure from representation and pssible misrepresentation during an election process, and we should not permit interested parties to further complicate citizen's understanding or misunderstanding of the matters at issue.
I am opposed to proposals I understand are under your consideration to consider and possibly allow wagering or betting in regard to our elections, and urge you to defeat such efforts.
