I'm urging the CFTC to reject any attempts to gamble on election outcomes. Democracy around the world is under attack, and is waning as oligarchs corrupt governments for their personal benefit at the expense of the people. This allowance of gambling on election outcomes will further corrupt financial systems and the public's trust in our institutions. Elections are a critical democratic process whereby all citizens of a nation can have their voice heard without fear of reprisal or financial consequences. Allowing financial systems to bet on election outcomes will destroy the purity of the best candidate(s) winning the public trust. I urge you to protect the democratic process for the future of out country by avoiding this mistake.
