In reference to allowing gambling on elections...please tell me this isn't real. At a time when free and fair elections are under relentless attack, we're thinking of creating incentives for rich people to game them? This can't be under serious consideration.
Allowing this proposal undermines the principle of one person, one vote. It's bad enough that dark money floods elections. Let's not create more motivation for special interests to interfere with them.
