NO to Election Gambling!
This very idea is madness. Allowing betting on election outcomes will create huge financial incentives for special interests to manipulate and interfere in our elections. Voter turnout is already at a low point. The last thing we need is more election manipulation that will decrease voting participation by further jading people who already believe that the system is rigged.
Why would you allow it to be even more rigged??
If this becomes law, extremely powerful big money will have an even stronger stranglehold on our elections. What happed to "one man one vote"? This proposal is guaranteed to eliminate that—manipulating our democracy. It is at a dangerous crossroad even now.
Betting on elections is another nail in in the coffin that is burying democracy.
Please do all you can to prevent election betting. It's one more horrible step toward turning the United states into a dictatorship. And putting a stop to freedom for us all.
Thank you for making the right decision. My children's lives depend on it.
