The democratic process of fair elections has been attacked so ruthlessly over the past decade or so that we must do all possible to maintain fairness and keep elections as free as possible from the influence of big money. More needs to be done than has been; to add betting to the picture will make things immeasurably worse. The unscrupulous will take advantage of whatever they can, whenever they can, and to the extent that they can. NO GAMBLING!!!
