I totally oppose allowing betting on elections. This is a recipe for disaster. Any number of bad actors could manipulate the election process. Politics should not be a team sport - ever.
Highly motivated bettors could try to coerce, intimidate election officials. Vested interests could make false, misleading videos, deep fakes whose purpose is to shift opinion in favor of their desired outcome, right or wrong for the country, just so long as these entities win the bet, prospering at everyone elses expense in dangerous ways.
Don't let this happen. No matter how much money is involved its not worth the destruction that could be heaped on the world.
