Good afternoon,
I wanted to reach out and share my support for election-focused contracts by Kalshi. As someone who has researched and studied US political elections in the past, I believe that these contracts not only serve as educational, but insightful into their predictive capabilities. In addition to providing hedging opportunities for certain stakeholders (myself not included), these event contracts serve a public interest in developing an informed electorate, providing predictive insights through efficient markets, and serve as a platform offering healthy discourse in American politics. In a time of political disengagement, event contracts provide a new platform for providing a public good to the American people and should not be discounted.
