I urge you to reject the idea of a private company (or any other) to take bets on the outcome of our elections - what are they thinking?
There is already too much conspiracy-mongering regarding the integrity of our elections - such an activity would increase what is already a serious undermining of our democracy.
It makes it too likely for bad actors to further threaten and harass election officials in order to get the results they want in order to try to score big payouts on their bets.
It turns the basis for our democracy - the right of the people to vote for our own governance - into some kind of sporting event, where only winning big bucks on the outcome becomes the primary motive - not policy, not the character of the person running for office, not the good of the people and the country.
Do not allow this.
