What a horrible idea. I know futures trading is basically betting however, when are elections ever considered to be a commodity. I could foresee the news media reporting on these so called bets and skew voters to vote a certain way. The bookies out there are already doing this which is bad enough. Don't make this a government sanctioned practice.
