I am commenting on the suggestion to include publicly sanctioned betting on election outcomes.
Please do no trust anyone who claims betting on elections is "just good fun." Betting on elections destroys the legitimacy of the elections; just as it does with sports betting. The purpose of the betting industry is to make money. There would be no interest in protecting the election process. Keep such ideas away from our elections.
