I am opposed to betting on elections. It as a very bad idea. I can foresee only neghative results.
Political betters are only interested in making money. Their efforts would not necessarily be to elect the candidates of their choice. Their primary purpose would be to select the candidates who in their opinion have the bast chance of winning.
Our democracy would be poorly served by permitting political betting.
