Hi,
I am concerned that any pushing back of swap reporting data would damage reputation and trust of the US stock market. As police associations across the country like to say: "If you have nothing illegal to hide, you have nothing to worry about."
Furthermore, if in the future, unfortunate events where hidden swaps were deemed to be the cause of a new financial crisis, those who voted for pushing back reporting requirements may be viewed suspiciously and any perception of impropriety will need to be investigated and prosecuted.
