I am an individual who is in full support of elections markets coming to the Kalshi exchange for me to hedge on.
Political control affects me in many ways. Specifically Political control over congress affects my family a great deal. My wife is a nurse practitioner and laws governing health care affect her as a provider. My youngest child is gender-nonconforming, and political control over congress will determine whether or not she receives equal protection under the law as she grows up.
I would use Kalshi's contracts to hedge my risks by We use the contract to insure against the unfavorable party coming to power; providing us with income we can use to help our youngest child in the event our worst fears come true.. Thank you for listening and I hope you make the correct decision.
