Political contracts have already been banned by the CFTC after DCM/DCO Nadex self certified them back in December of 2011.

Kalshi's filing is virtually identical to Nadex (binary option) so why should it be treated any differently?
The CFTC should be creating policy that applies to every entity (DCM/DCO) equally.
