While I am all for efficiency, I disagree with any alterations in reporting requirements if it results in less transparency, especially for retail. Instead I would prefer more scrutinous, timely, and transparent reporting standards. Swaps are already such an unknown quantity for so many investors, and I worry they can be weaponized on behalf of wall street and big banks to make money at the expense of retail investors.
