As an individual investor, I am concerned that there has been a pattern of movement to reduce transparency and reporting requirements by the CFTC as of late. It is imperative that we have more transparency to reduce market manipulation and illegal activities.
It is clear as day that any effort to reduce transparency is in the interest of a small group of private companies and institutions to hide their dubious practices and not in the interest of public at large. Any act by the CFTC to reduce transparency would be viewed as corruption of the regulators and further erode the investor's trust in the CFTC's ability to regulate free and fair market.
