Dear Sirs,
Please find my personal comments in response to the request for public comment on climate-related financial risk.
I have been involved with the ILS market since its inception and prior to that, the CBoT Cat Options. I have also edited two books on the subject and executed several key transactions in the last thirty years. I consult on and have maintained (until recently) an active web site about the ILS market www.lanefinancialllc.com .
I recently retired as the Director of the Masters in Financial Engineering and Clinical Professor of Finance at the University of Illinois at Urban-Champaign.
