I am a US Citizen and I would like to thank the CFTC for its open minded stance on virtual currency. I agree that regulation will be needed in the future to protect the average investor, however for now the space is very young and still requires time to develop.
I am confident that the US CFTC will set an example for the rest of the world to follow on virtual currency. I can envision a future where all nations can agree on the potential of virtual currency to revolutionize the global economy. Faster, more efficient payment methods, reliable, counterfeit-proof ledgers and traceable supply chain logistics are just a few of the many benefits virtual currency offers as a compliment to traditional fiat currency.
In conclusion, I support the CFTC's current stance on this matter and will continue my support for the foreseeable future.
