I wanted to express my gratitude towards Chairman Giancarlo for his thoughtful and forward-thinking perspective on virtual currency. There are many reasons to doubt that regulators and other officials are adequately heeding the desires of most citizens. But Commissioner Giancarlo's remarks help to abate my cynicism. Please allow this technology a fruitful place to grow inside the United States.
