Dear Chairman Giancarlo,
Thank you and the CFTC today for defending the cryptocurrency community.
As you noted, America has always been about innovation. Crypto is not just about price movement and wild speculation -- it's about identifying, unlocking, trading, and growing value in nearly every facet of society.
Innovation should not be regulated to a few gatekeepers with powerful influence and deep pockets. Crypto allows ALL participants in a value network to benefit from the growth of that network. If participants believe in the mission of the network, they will grow it, and everyone benefits.
This has effects beyond just financial. We are talking the possible radical transformation of culture and democracy as well, resulting in exponential change for good.
Take a project like Rootproject, which is trying to lift impoverished and homeless back up and into society. Profit incentives line up with the network's mission statement, and everyone benefits.
