Please give more than adequate funding to the people who are trying to rewrite these regulations. Everyday investors have no one on their side. Our regulators are given responsibilities and inadequate resources to counter balance the power and resources of the banking and investment community. They should have the power to bring civil charges as well as fines. The fines should self fund the regulators so the are independent of the politicians who are bought and sold every day by the wall street firms that contribute to both parties. My trust in wall street and bankers is very low. They can fool us because we don't deal with this stuff. We need well funded bright dedicated people who are independent of political winds to go after the greedy who will seek to enrich themselves at the publics expense. These firms must by law put the investors/ clients interest first.
