Please forward this to Chairman Gensler:

    Dear Chairman Gensler,

I know that you are aware of what speculators do to the price of oil in the futures market, and how that affects the price of just about everything we buy, but who is really out there fighting for the average American Citizen? Not only are we paying too much for gas, but groceries and household non-consumable prices have increased an easy 20- 30% in the past year. When Americans are already taking a hit in our small businesses, job security, income and home equity, it’s easy to become fearful of the future. The average American deals with an array of emotions from outrage to helplessness, meanwhile our elected officials seem oblivious to our reality and more concerned with blame and political party control. Where can we turn to for the reasonable accountability that will not only give some relief to the uncertainty that is again throwing our economy into recession, but weakening us as nation in every way. Would you please follow through with what we hoped would be stronger rules to end excessive speculators? This greed will succeed in stealing the American dream from this and future generations if they are not put on a leash.

    Thank you,

    Kimberly Hudson
