I just got spam from Senator Bill Nelson regarding food and gas prices going
up. He cites a NYT article trying to blame speculators for rises in food and
gas prices and wants Florida voters to e-mail you. I would rather you resist
this blatant political article and the attempts of the Administration and
various senators and congressmen to shift the blame from their failed
anti-energy, anti-capitalist regulations and legislation.
It's nice that the New York Times is giving the Obama Administration and
Pelosi-Reid policies top cover with this story but the real reason prices are
going up are the anti-progress regulations and "green" policies. That's no real
surprise since the NYT sacrificed their journalistic integrity decades ago. Of
course investors and speculators are going to believe prices will go up when the
administration refuses to grant drilling permits while setting contracts with
Brazil and letting China drill in the Gulf of Mexico.
The problem is that we have too many watchdogs and they are being driven by
extreme "environmentalists" and the anti-capitalist bent of the administration.
