    Comment Text:

    Good afternoon,

Rising food and gas prices concern me greatly. Many families in my community are unable to afford enough to eat, and so must use food pantries and food stamps just to survive. I am contacting you because I am asking you, as the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, to help improve our nation. Please prevent speculators on Wall Street and elsewhere from interfering with prices, especially gasoline and food. The prices of these necessities directly effects the lives and health of many Americans, most of all the poor. And I ask you to stop listening to Wall Street lobbyists, who may encourage deals that will increase prices or hurt the poor- have these lobbyists seen the poverty in America? Have they been to food pantries, and seen how many Americans may be going hungry regularly? Have they seen the homeless mothers, fathers, and children struggling to survive? Please impose meaningful position limits on these speculators and Wall Street lobbyists, and support the people of America, especially the poor, homeless, and those struggling with hunger.

    Thank you.

    Matthew Morse
P.S.- I encourage you to volunteer at soup kitchens, food pantries, and homeless shelters. Observe the people- just like you or me- who are suffering. And do something to help them. After all, Jesus Christ taught us to love our neighbors like ourselves. And we should be doing more of that, shouldn’t we?
