    Dear Sir or Madam,

I've just learned that the C.F.T.C. is due to vote on a proposal that actually undermines the Dodd-Frank legislation designed to protect our economy from manipulation and collapse.

I want to add my voice to those calling for an end to the treatment of our economy and stock market as a gambling venue. We must change our business culture to reflect what we've learned from the recession we are still mired in. Investment in the goods and services produced in America must be an actual investment in the well-being of the nation, not yet another opportunity to make ridiculous sums of money at the expense of average Americans.

I am a constituent of Senator Bill Nelson and I support his efforts to bring speculation under control. The evidence presented in studies recently cited in the New York Times article of September 24, 2011 suggests that these aspects of our markets are not self-regulating. We must create balance if the markets cannot do so on their own.

Thank you in advance for your consideration of my views on this important matter.

    Sincerely,

    Traer Price
